Stand-Up Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a stand-up forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order picker duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift to load, unload, and move products and materials within the warehouse.
• Ensure the accurate and timely picking of orders and the safe transport of goods.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure the forklift is in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately counting and recording stock levels.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator, specifically with stand-up forklifts.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
